DAVID J. ENDLER
David J. Endler, 71, of Genoa, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at home.
Born Oct. 18, 1950, in Chicago, the son of Robert E. and Dorothy A. (Horlick) Endler, David married Sally Hardtke on June 20, 1970, in Lake in the Hills; Sally predeceased him on July 1, 2010, in Brea, Calif.
A veteran of the US Army, having served in the Vietnam War, David went to schools in Crystal Lake, earned two associate degrees from Elgin Community College in 1976 and 1979, and was a plastics engineer for many years.
He loved to play slots and was a die-hard Bears fan. He liked to make key chains for veterans and liked to make soap and do other crafty things.
David is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Ray) Quinn of Genoa and Jennifer (Carlos) Monterosso of Huntley; grandchildren, Anthony (Rebecca), Connor and Samantha Quinn, and Max and Kyra Monterosso; great-grandchild, Cash Royster; sisters-in-law, Laurie (Steve) Kreger of South Elgin, and Carol Bruske of Algonquin; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Bear.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sally; parents; grandchild, Sheun Bruske; brothers, Bill and Tom Endler; and sister, Robin Stone.
The family extends special thanks to Megan and Christine from Unity Hospice for their loving care.
